___ In Still Unidentified Objects Transnatural explores new, still unidentified forms of collaboration. We look at fresh ideas ending up in new results by joint forces and combined smartness, with benefits for all parties involved (rather than just for humans). The exact message or goal is at one hand yet still quite ‘unidentified’, meaning it could have all different kinds of purposes. On the other hand it’s obvious which route it can follow. SUO shows interesting experiments to get new insights.

DMY Award winner Svenja Keune (GER) presents her project Emotional Dialogue. These beautiful, communicating textile objects transform as soon as they’ve detected the emotional state of its observer.

Marjan van Aubel’s Energy collection explores the possibilities of energy harvesting from everyday objects. The cabinet’s drinking glasses are made from special glass that work similar to solar cells. The glasses charge the cabinet and it can function as an energy source for powering telephones or lights for example. With the Energy collection project Marjan won the DOEN Material price 2012.

Contemporary Vanitas plays with the inconvenient truth of life being transient and imperfect, we all get older and eventually die. During life people sever material too. Thomas Vailley explores the realistic options of creating new materials and objects from human leftovers, and uses hair as ingredient.

Like living organisms is an interactive skindress that expresses excitement between two people when they first meet. At the opening the performer will intimately approach the audience to register how excited they are.
